About me

I am a Canadian painter living in Switzerland. I love going on long walks through the countryside with my husband (which I know sounds like a dating profile but the best sights in Switzerland are seen on foot).  I  collect unique mugs to enjoy hot cups of tea in and I am a cat person... not a dog person.

I've been artsy from a very early age. I distinctly remember having an easel when I was a preschooler, and I tried my best to mix as many of the paint colours as I could to create a whole new colour. Of course I only succeeded in making brown back then, but that didn't stop me.

I excelled at art in gradeschool and highschool, and doodled through most of my other subjects. University, though, I majored in English Literature, and kept my art as a hobby. Thankfully I studied in Toronto, so I spent a lot of time at the Art Gallery of Ontario during and after my studies. I found my greatest inspiration in the Group of Seven, Tom Thompson, Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, and my favourite J.W. Turner.

You will see this inspiration as you browse my paintings that also capture light and colour to convey a deep sense of feeling connected to real scenes of landscape and life. It's my wish to be a window through which others can view the beauty I see in the world.
